Research and development is a key component in the fight against proliferation and nuclear terrorism. NSSPI conducts collaborative research with partners across the Texas A&M campus, throughout the US, and internationally. Collaborators include key federal agencies, national laboratories, the IAEA, universities, and non-governmental organizations.
NSSPI has a strong focus on multi-disciplinary research. We organize carefully-sized research teams with students and faculty from across campus to develop targeted solutions for a wide variety of nuclear security problems. Each of these teams typically includes at least one policy expert.
