Abstract: This project involves developing a light intensity measuring circuit to detect the clouding of plastic scintillator gamma detectors from a radiation portal monitor (RPM) after being subjected to moisture and/or temperature environments. The circuit will ultimately alert the RPM operator to change the scintillator detector after certain degree of degradation.
