The TEES Nuclear Security Science and Policy Institute (NSSPI) collaborated with the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Indonesia to conduct a 3-day nuclear security workshop in Yogyakarta, Indonesia during the week of August 21st. The “Workshop on Insider Threat, Nuclear Security Culture, and Human Element in Nuclear Security” was coordinated by UGM professor Dr. Sihana with support from NSSPI. NSSPI professional staff members Claudio Gariazzo and Evans Kitcher were invited to contribute to the workshop as subject matter experts. The focus of the workshop was to help faculty members from UGM in implementing nuclear security education and training programs by presenting them with methods and plans for teaching nuclear security topics. The workshop was sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Partnership for Nuclear Security.
