Title: Assessment of self-interrogation safeguards signatures for pebble bed reactor fuel

Through neutron self-interrogation, it is believed that safeguards assessments of pebble-bed reactor fuel can be improved over the standard approach as advanced reactors pose new challenges for safeguarding fissile material that may render the standard approach inadequate. This presentation will show ongoing work using computer models and benchmarking experiments that aim to determine the viability of neutron self-interrogation for use in safeguards assessments of spent pebble fuel.
