NSSPI Graduate
Nuclear Engineering
M.S., 2019
Research Group: Nuclear Security and Risk Analysis
Short Bio:
Charles “Rob” Schafer earned a M.S. in nuclear engineering from Texas A&M in May of 2019. He worked with Dr. Sunil Chirayath to develop a methodology to quantify the stochastic uncertainties in actinide and fission product concentration estimates from performing nuclear fuel burnup simulations using MCNP. Upon completion of his degree, Schafer began work at Savannah River National Laboratory.
