NSSPI holds observer status with the IAEA and is actively engaged in providing technical, training, and educational support to the agency.
Participation in the International Nuclear Security Education Network (INSEN)
NSSPI is one of the founding members of the International Nuclear Security Education Network (INSEN). Through this network, we have helped develop textbooks and curricula and have supplied lecturers for professional development courses. Additionally, NSSPI participated in the drafting of the IAEA’s Nuclear Security Series No. 12. These interactions have aided other countries in creating educational programs in nuclear security.
Members of the international Network for Education and Training on Emergency Preparedness and Response (iNET-EPR)
NSSPI is a member of Working Group B of the international Network for Education and Training on Emergency Preparedness and Response (iNET-EPR), which addresses EPR education and academics. iNET-EPR was formed to contribute to global efforts to create, enhance, and sustain capacity building in Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) and supports a wide range of activities related to human resource development, technical and scientific support, materials for educational and training activities, outreach activities, exchange of information, and best practices related to EPR programs.
