Abstract:
The INMM student chapter at Texas A&M University hosted the Pebble-Bed and TRISO-Fueled Reactor Nonproliferation Workshop from February 3-6, 2025, in College Station, Texas. Seeking to bring together technical and policy experts in order to encourage discussion and collaboration between relevant researchers, the workshop included participation from over 40 practitioners in safeguards and PBR research. Workshop participants heard from keynote speakers representing the university, international safeguards organizations, and INMM. They also heard technical presentations on the latest research in safeguards and security for TRISO-fueled reactors, engaged in a panel discussion, and toured some of the advanced reactor research laboratory spaces in the Nuclear Engineering Department at Texas A&M University.
