Before the last IAEA General Conference the Chairman of FNRBA
(Forum of Nuclear regulatory Body in Africa) expressed interest of
collaboration with NSSPI in areas of mutual interest and proposed
that a MOU be signed to this effect during the IAEA General
Conference (GC). At the GC we discussed the areas of possible
collaboration within the mandate of FNRBA (Safety and Security) as
NSSPI interest is focused on nuclear security policy and
applications. We proposed consideration of a Letter
of Intent, and it was agreed. This letter is now under
preparation and if all parties agree we envisage signing this
document with FNRBA during the next GC. The Forum Chairman was
invited to visit TAMU-NSSPI to further discuss the
collaboration.
