NSSPI student, Karen Miller, presenting a paper at the 29th ESARDA Annual Meeting at Aix-en-Provence, France.We consider that participation in the larger community of nuclear engineering professionals through these societies serves an important role in the professional development of our students. NSSPI has founded the first ever student chapter of the INMM at Texas A&M University, which has provided additional leadership opportunities for our students. Moreover, participating in professional societies exposes our students to the broader implications of their work and allows them to see how they fit into the overall professional community.
