NSSPI Contributes to Nuclear Security Capacity-Building Training Course in China

The TEES Nuclear Security Science and Policy Institute (NSSPI) collaborated with Oak Ridge National Laboratory to develop instructional materials for a training course in nuclear security capacity-building in consultation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for professionals of IAEA member States from Asia and the Pacific region.  The course was conducted at the State Nuclear Security Training Center in Beijing, China. Gitau Participates in Safeguards Seminar in China

From August 23-27, 2010 NSSPI student Travis Gitau had the opportunity to be a lecturer in an International Safeguards Seminar held at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. The purpose of the seminar was to educate and engage young members of the Chinese nuclear industry in international safeguards and nonproliferation efforts.
