Week-long Student Short Course on Safeguards and NDA Techniques.

NSSPI is sponsoring a set of students to visit the Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Safeguards Laboratory during the week of November 16-20 for Nuclear Material Safeguards Nondestructive Assay Techniques education and practical training. The students are currently in NUEN 605 (Radiation Detection and Nuclear Materials Measurements) and NUEN 650 (Nuclear Nonproliferation and Arms Control). In addition, the students will be visiting unique ORNL facilities such as the Spallation Neutron Source and the X-10 Graphite Reactor as well as one of three high-purity germanium crystal growing facilities in the world.
